The memorable audition monologue is the top must-have/must-master tool in an early-career stage actor’s skill-kit. SEPTEMBER 30 2024. 5PM - 10PM. WITH INSTRUCTOR RICARDO APONTE.
    Ages 16+. 12 students. $225.
Shake them bones! We live life in front of others not in our minds but in our bodies. Some actors have been frightened into doing little to nothing below the neck when acting for fear of “overdoing” or pushing. On stage and in wider shots on camera, comfort in one’s body is essential and will ensure that the characters you create are grounded, authentic, and fascinating to watch.

  • ACT A SONG - 5 HOURS

OCTOBER 7, 2024. 5PM - 10PM. WITH INSTRUCTOR RHYN CLARK AND ACCOMPANIST HOLT MCCARLEY.
    Ages 16+. 12 students. $225.
Solos should be monologues that are sung, plain and simple, and approached with the same care of craft and dissection. In this session, actors will dive into personalizing and activating songs, staging them, delivering them to the receiver, and sculpting them from beginning, middle, to end. For musical theatre actors, the audition song is an essential tool, and you’ll leave this intensive confident that yours will stand out and shine.

  • IMPROV TO IMPROVE - 5 HOURS

    OCTOBER 16, 2024. 11AM - 4PM. WITH INSTRUCTOR MARK KENDALL.
    Ages 16+. 12 students. $225.
Often, actors who can keep a story going and “play” in the audition room, rehearsal hall, or on set are standouts to directors and casting. This workshop will explore the foundations of improv comedy: listening, storytelling, and collaboration through fun and engaging group exercises. These exercises will introduce tools that workshop attendees can use to make their performances more inventive and engaging. The workshop will also focus on using physicality to inform and develop your own individual comedic POV.
